Malope Monitoring Solutions (Pty) Ltd (MMS)
Founded by the former Chief Executive Officer of Zonke Monitoring Systems (ZMS), Maketse Hosea Malope in June 2018.
Hosea Malope and his core team have been involved in the provision of Central Electronic Monitoring System (CEMS) and other regulatory and compliance systems for more than 40 years collectively.
The initial years in the industry were during their respective roles as Executives and employees of Zonke Monitoring Systems, which operated the CEMS to monitor the Limited Pay-out Machine Industry (LPMs) in South Africa from 2003 to 2017.
ZMS was appointed as the first National Central Electronic Monitoring System Operator of South Africa in 2001; the role it performed with excellence until December 2017 when contract ended. The contract was initially awarded for 8 years but was extended several times, bringing the term to 14 years in total.
Armed with the experience and intellectual property gained during the ZMS operational years, MMS executives decided to continue providing services to the gambling industry. MMS’s first client was Rwanda Gaming Corporation (RGC), based in Kigali, Rwanda.
MMS provides RGC with the CEMS, monitoring gambling machines for compliance and revenue collection. MMS is also working with several strategic partners in Africa, Australia and the Americas, where it acts as a technology partner to local companies. The Australian partnership is at an advanced stage, with the system rollout expected to happen in the foreseeable future.
Locally, MMS developed solutions for several strategic clients.
Most of the solutions involve digitizing paper-based processes, thus improving efficiencies and cutting costs.
Other products in MMS portfolio include the supply and support of Storage Asset Managers (SAMs) and Electronic Key Boxes, which Manage and Monitor strategic assets and keys.
The SAMS and Key Boxes are manufactured and supplied by Key Systems Incorporated (KSI), based in Victor, New York in the USA.
MMS is the sole distributor of KSI products on the African continent. Our clients include Bingos, Casinos, Mines, Universities, Government Departments, etc.
MMS is a level 1 BBBEE contributor and intends to maintain this level by ensuring compliance with all B-BBEE scorecard elements.
The company currently operates from Pencil Park, Croxley Close, Heriotdale, Germiston.
